Infection Control
Director, Infection Control/Employee Health
Full-Time Exempt
The Infection Control Practitioner performs surveillance in the hospital, identifies and manages staff response to nosocomial infections, investigates any outbreaks and provides teaching to staff and physicians relative to appropriate infection control practices. Responsibility includes adherence to clinical standards of practice, compliance with regulatory agency requirements (DHS, JCAHO and any other department specific requirements), and maintaining operational budget. Provides employee health services to staff.
Qualifications: Prefers CA RN License or Infection Control Practitioner. BLS required. Certified Infection Control Practitioner, knowledge of workers comp/employee health.

Responsible for the development, implementation, integration and coordination of organization wide performance improvement, Infection Control, and Clinical Risk Management activities. Assumes a leadership role in accreditation and licensure activities. Works collaboratively with Administration, Medical Staff, Department Managers, and staff in performing duties.
Qualifications:Degree in Nursing or Health related field. Bachelors or Masters Degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business or related field. Active California RN License or Licensed in related field in healthcare. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Associates in Risk Management (ARM), Certification in Infection Control (CIC), Minimum of one (1) – three (3) years of Progressive Management/Supervisory experience in Healthcare Performance Improvement. Minimum of one (1) year experience in Healthcare Risk Management. Proficiency in Word Processing, Spreadsheets and Database. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
